SHARING EXPERIENCE ON ECONOMIC IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON LIVELIHOODS OF THE PASTORAL COMMUNITIES DURING ANSAF LEARNING EVENT

Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF) had the opportunity to be in the panel discussion during the Agricultural Non State Actors Forum organized an annual learning event on 26th -27th held in Dodoma. Theme of the discussion focused on sharing experience about the impact of climate change in the livelihoods of farmers and pastoralists with key reference to the role of PRM in addressing climate related issues in pastoral areas through sustainable management of secured grazing areas.

The event was attended by various stakeholders: CSOs, Donors, private sectors, Farmers, Pastoralist and the government Ministries and organizations. the Minister for Environment and Union Affairs Hon Simba Chawene graced the meeting and urged stakeholders to be pro active in combating climate change impacts and need for all the actors to come together and mobilize enough resources to address adverse effects of climate change.
